As the delicate flower blooms,
facing the moon.
I'm caught by reflections,
at the water's edge.
My breath is heavy,
hands on my knees
Do my eyes deceive?
Who is this creature I see,
dressed in hues of blue.
It's pleasant and it's new,
making me feel things untrue.
Who is this mystery trapped,
where is the key for release?
The stars shine,
sharing the glassy surface.
I have lost myself to the sight,
staying, staring through the night.
Life is different now,
as the darkness fades to day.
I searched down to the depths,
swam with the wandering truth.
Unearthing the buried treasure,
a secret, a pearl.
I lost my sight,
blind, I see clearly.
Now my eyes cannot deceive,
for I'm continually being set free.
You are my breath,
you are my light,
I will not forget you this night.
